What’s my budget? I hope you are looking in a mirror when you are asking that question because only you truly know the answer. Mortgage Professionals, Bankers , Realtors and Lawyers should be consulted when you are buying a property, but none of us are with you 24 hours a day. We may not know about your need to eat out 5 times a week or your online shopping addiction. We may also not know that you start feeling panicky and extra stressed when x amount of dollars is not handily available. No one knows your dirty little secrets like you. So come clean to yourself and write out your daily, weekly, monthly expenses and take a cold hard look at what’s feasible. Home ownership is a great thing and can make you feel very empowered, but not when you are in over your head. Buy according to you needs, wants and most importantly, budget. Do not try to keep up with the Jones cause they are trying to keep up with some other family and so on and so on, and everyone in the world is trying to keep up with the Buffets.
