Gift cards are ruining Christmas! Ok, that may be a bit extreme, actually gift cards can be quite great as the person you are giving it to will no doubt buy themselves something they need or want. But you have to admit it can take some of the fun out of the watching someone open up your present. For example, I asked my brother what to get for my nephews and he said “EB game gift cards”. Really? Am I going to get the your the coolest Aunt ever when they open up their gift cards? Likely not, nor will I get the satisfaction of knowing I scored big time and got them the perfect gift. All in all gift cards are a “catch 22”. They are convenient and great for last minute shoppers like myself, but as mentioned they are just not as fun to give.
This post sure had nothing to do with condos but really, who can blame us, it is 7 days until Christmas and we have presents on our mind! On that note to all the big spenders out there, a new condo does and always will make a great gift. Beats a new car any day in our books.
